Bethany Yamawaki, Relationship and Transition Coach

Bethany Yamawaki, CPC, is a certified life and relationship coach working with singles and couples in all stages of relationships- including mindful divorce, effective reconciliations, successful singleness, and other life transitions. She helps people transform chaos to clarity and authentic living. She is expanding the reach of the Beyond Divorce Recovery and Empowerment by providing virtual programs and support.

In Bethany’s 20 years as a casting producer, she has interviewed over 10,000 people about life and relationships. One of the things she found was that some people who went through an upheaval as significant as divorce were still healing and not ready to move forward. She decided to become certified as a Relationship Coach to help people in ways she couldn’t before. In addition to her BA from Northwestern University, she received training from the Life Coach Institute of Orange County and also the prestigious Relationship Coaching Institute, where she graduated as a Certified Professional Coach, RCI Relationship Coach for Singles, and RCI Relationship Coach for Couples. In collaboration with her colleagues, mentors, and Jeannine Lee- the author of Beyond Divorce, Bethany is revitalizing this proven system! Beyond Divorce gets those who are divorced through the pain and back to happiness and wholeness faster, so they don’t have to struggle without structure and support.

Bethany has been married for over 20 years and has personal experience dealing with upheaval and crisis in relationships. She and her husband share a teenage daughter and their adopted dog, Coconut Yum Yum Yamawaki. Growing up biracial and creating a multi-cultural family, Bethany brings a strong sense of diversity-based understanding to her work. She spends her free time learning, reading, attending live concerts & theater, traveling when possible, and practicing Pilates to stay peaceful and grounded.

I so appreciate how you share about your own personal experience of divorce. Seeing you gives me hope that i can be ‘put back together’ eventually. I also appreciate how you accept how each of us manifests our pain .

By Donna

You are a very holistic person – dedicated to every aspect of growing as a person. Humble and tender. You are ‘the light at the end of the tunnel’ on this journey of healing. You give me a certain hope that life is going to get better.

Tom

I can say for myself that it was a pleasure to meet you, and I feel very safe working out my separation and ultimate divorce with you as a coach. I vow to work with utmost integrity and honesty. As difficult as it is to leave after 34 years, I want to do so in a sensible, mature and as gentle a manner as possible.

George G.

It’s really great working with you. Obviously it came into my life at just  the right time, and really helped me through a very rough patch. I’m still dealing with a lot of feelings, and I now know I can cope, and even do more than cope, actually find happiness again. Thank you for appearing out of the blue and helping me through.
